Nice soft + recycled paper. No plastic - zero waste.
Since recyclable paper packaged toilet paper appeared for a couple of years and then completely disappeared from supermarket shelves and everything is back to plastic wrapped rolls only (which I don't see the reason why they have to be) I have gone back to buying paper-wrapped rolls in bulk boxes (another benefit is they last much longer). I was looking for something that was not made in China and these rolls are said to be made in Malaysia (though like with a prior purchase of a different brand elsewhere I couldn't find on the carton "made in" apart from various certificates) and they tick all boxes, being very reasonably soft and made from recycled tissue, hurray! The glue on the core may be a bit too strong for the final sheet, but it is not a biggie. Quite satisfied and wish NZ companies wake up and reduce their reliance on plastic (and oil it is made of). Soft plastic recycling scheme while good IMO is not an answer as it is not circular (down cycled to different products) and not available everywhere.
