The Smartcel Mattress Topper - Single by Bambury is designed to absorb, store and release heat while you sleep, helping you maintain optimal thermal comfort. The Smartcel Clima fabrics used to make these bedding products, are made from soft, strong, cellulostic fibres that incorporate a Phase Change Material (PCM). The organic PCM used in the Sonar range is a wax like material that melts at around the normal body temperature of 38C. It is these sealed microcapsules of the PCM that provide its special temperature controlling/stabilising properties.
